2 months old

Luke Michael Merrick 11.04.09

"the best gifts come in small packages"

Luke is two months old today, where has time gone? Somedays it feels like just yesterday when our Baby Love entered the world, and other moments it feels like its been two months! Our little guy is changing so much everyday. He lost a lot of his hair around 4-5 weeks old and it has all grown back. He has the cutest little colic in front, and the jury is still out to see if Luke will have his daddy's curly hair. It is still light brown with a little blonde, I am pretty sure he will be a toe head like his mama was!
This is what's going on in Luke's life at two months:
-you have outgrown all your newborn clothes and fitting nicely into all your 0-3 months clothing
-you are wearing a size one diapers...too many blowouts with your NB diapers so we made the switch and they fit much more comfortably
-you have found your tongue and love to stick it out
-your kicking your legs like a mad man...I think you will have your daddy's legs speed
-you get really excited when you are on your playmate and let out the cutest little screams
-you are boycotting naps which makes you a little crazy come the afternoon...we are working on them as we speak
-you are a champ when it comes to sleeping at night, the last two nights you slept from 7pm-2am, then back to sleep until 6:00am!!!! Your mommy was so happy!
-you love it when people talk to you
-you slept in your own room in your crib for the first time on Thursday, October 29th
-you only nap during the day if someone is holding you
-you have met all your uncles and they love you SO much
-you have a very strong grip...you love to grip mommy's finger when you are nursing
-mommy has cut out all dairy, chocolate, and fresh vegetables to help your gassy little tummy
-you are eating about every 3-4 hours and when daddy feeds you a bottle you are drinking 4-5 oz
-you LOVE LOVE LOVE your bathtime!
-we have established a nice bedtime routine that you really enjoy...bath/or warm wash cloth rub down, change into pjs, read story (favorite right now is "Kalamazoo to Timbuktu" given to you by the Eliuk's-we have read it everyday since we moved), eat, and bedtime at 7:00-7:30
-you like to wake up around 5:30-6:00 am eat, and go back to bed until 8 or so then you are ready to rock n roll!
We are excited to see what the next month brings for our little monkey boy!
