TGIF

If the title of this blog doesn't summarize how this week has been I don't know what will! On Tuesday I thought to myself, "is it almost Friday", it's been a really long week for some reason! We are welcoming this weekend with wide open arms! Tonight we have dinner plans with some good friends, its been awhile since we have gotten ready and gone out on a Friday night downtown Kalamazoo, so we are looking forward to good company, good food, and drinks for everyone BUT me! We are going to our favorite restaurant, Fandango, a quaint little tapas restaurant downtown. Tomorrow we might be test driving vehicles, or spending time on the lake, depends on the weather. My Passatt just isn't going to cut it for the family vehicle once Baby Love arrives, so we are in the market for a something different and decided we should probably start checking things out.
Can you believe August 1st is tomorrow?!?!?! Where has the summer gone? I am not complaining one bit, but the weather hasn't really felt like summer, but being 32 weeks pregnant, I welcome the lovely 70 degree temps! August is a very special month for us, we will celebrate our two year anniversary on August 11th! We will also be welcoming a couple new additions this month...my cousins, Landon & Kristin, are expecting their first little one (a boy) and my good friend Michelle is expecting her second child (a girl), both in just a couple of weeks.
Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

32 week check

Today I had my 32 week check and all seems to be going well, strong heartbeat, active little one, and good health for mom! We had an ultrasound today to check for growth on how our little one is developing, it looks like Baby Love is a little behind on target weight, they would have liked to have seen 4 lbs or greater, and our Little One is weighing in around 3 lbs 12 oz. With a uterine septum it can cause restrictions on growth so they are monitoring the growth very closely and will do another check at my next appt in two weeks. Baby Love has been very active and is currently breech at this time...there is still plenty of fluid and time for this little one to turn, so we will keep our fingers crossed that Baby Love turns head down in the next several weeks. I may have to start doing some yoga poses to help get our Sweet Little one in the right position! Tomorrow marks 32 weeks for us, 8 left to go!!! I just scheduled our pregnancy (belly) pictures for the last week of August, check out the website: http://www.theopenshutterphoto.com/. This is a friend of our good friends Mike & Deb Rozewicz who had picture recently taken of their adorable little girl, she does such a great job! We are having some done in the studio and some done at Lake Michigan!

What a week...

It has been quite the week! I actually ended up in Memphis until just yesterday...had an additional meeting spring up and then couldn't find a cooperating flight time with my schedule. Needless to say it feels so wonderful to be home and Gunner is happy to have his "mom & dad" home with him. Thank you to our great friends Erin and the Rozewicz' for tag teaming and taking care of our boy while we were gone. We feel so blessed by all the wonderful friends we have here.
This weekend's agenda...a whole lot of nothing! YAY!!!! Actually we do have a friends birthday party tomorrow afternoon, which is local so NO traveling, that's what I'm excited about!

Yesterday marked week 31...9 left to go! Sean and I had some time last night to catch up being we hadn't seen each other ALL week, and we were talking about how amazing it seems that next weekend is August, which in turn means September is just around the corner. I said I felt like it took us forever to get through the first trimester, and since then it has flown and he says the other way around for him...he is getting pretty antsy...and he isn't the pregnant one! I am continuing to feel good aside from it being a little more uncomfortable going for our evening walks. The doctor suggests that it isn't concerning, I am cramping up from our walks because the ligaments are stretching. Baby Love is weighing around 3 1/2 lbs and roughly reaching 18 inches long...as for fruit size, they have run out...in my opinion I would say watermelon! (joking)

Here are some pictures from our Baby Shower #3 that was held last Saturday in Pekin. Bump Tracker will soon follow.
Enjoy the weekend!

Sean, me, Kim, & Jeremy-Great friends, The Darnells, came in for the weekend and celebrated with us, we are thankful for such great friends!

Family Picture...Gunner was so helpful...he pulled the tissue paper out of all the gift bags for us. He had his nose right in there the whole time while opening gifts! True Family effort!

This is little John Deere Overalls, from Sean's aunt Martha, who works for John Deere...we had to take this picture for Grandpa Einck! I have a feeling our Baby Love will be quite the little Grandpa's helper on the farm! (regardless of boy or girl)

This is what we ALL have to look forward to...even Gunner is laughing at Sean! "Daddy" playing with Baby Loves Bumbo seat!

On the road again...

The past 10 days have been one of many travels...back & forth to Waukon, home for a day, on the road to Iowa City, back for a day, down to Pekin for the weekend, home for one hour, and on a flight to Memphis!!!! Not an ideal schedule for an uncomfortable 30 1/2 week pregnant girl. I will head back to Kalamazoo tomorrow, as Sean departs for Seattle. We won't get a chance to see each other but arranged our travel so Gunner would be well taken care of...Sean will leave in the afternoon and gets back Friday and I will return late tomorrow night! This is our LAST travel plans...YAY!!!! We are so excited to spend the next couple of months enjoying the beautiful Michigan summer and it being just the three of us (Gunner included, of course)...with much anticipation of our Baby Love's arrival!
Pictures to come of Baby Shower #3, the third and final. We have received so many wonderful gifts over the last week during our three baby showers to help us prepare for the arrival of our Sweet Little One! Thank you to all of you who thought of us!

Baby Shower #2

Baby Love is growing like crazy, measuring up at about 3 lbs and 16 inches long! Lately I've been getting quite the show with somersaults, quick punches, and a bout of the hiccups!
Last night my good friend Erin, along with the help of many others, hosted a fabulous baby shower for us here in Kalamazoo. It was such a great evening hanging out with great friends, good conversation, and great food. Erin completely out did herself! She had little flower arrangements for all to take home, a little Thank you gift of "Baby Blooming" wildflowers, and the best chocolate cupcakes. Lots of friends helped with the food and my friend Carrie had a couple fun games....THANK YOU to all!
My good friend Molly, her husband Jarrod, and their little doll Nora made the trip from the Detroit area as well! While Molly and I "showered" things up, Nora, hung with the boys...Sean, Jarrod, and my friend Erin's husband Ryan! They had a little BBQ, bonfire, smoked a few cigars, and consumed some beers!

Baby Shower #1

We had a great extended weekend back in Iowa, seeing so many great friends and our wonderful family. We have come to the conclusion that Gunner is 100% a farm dog, he seemed to find every puddle possible and was dad's sidekick 24-7 while he did chores. The drive to and from seemed like it took forever due to our Baby Love nesting up against my rib cage, or as Grandpa says, "his little papoose"! I received confirmation this morning at my doctors appointment that it is our Sweet Little Ones butt and feet that are giving my ribcage an hourly jolt! Good news...baby's head is down, let's just hope it stays that way! Everything else continues to go really well.

We had our first of three baby shower's on Saturday, hosted by my mom, Kate, and Carlyn...they did such a great job and it was SO wonderful to see so many of my family and such great friends (who made some long trips to be there). Thank you to all who made it!!! Below are some pictures of the eventful day! While the ladies, ate, socialized, and did the regular shower stuff...the men golfed and drank beer (some more than others!)

me with my mom, soon-to-be Grandma, and wonderful hostess

Carlyn, me, & Kate...my other two wonderful hostess!

Grandma Hackman, me, and Grandma Einck. I am so blessed to have both my Grandma's here to share in this special time

Carly, me, and Dana...both made longs trips to attend the shower, THANKS Girls!!! It means so much to have such GREAT girlfriends!!!

Michelle (35 weeks) and I (29 weeks) sizing up our "bumps". Michelle is due with a Sweet Baby Girl in mid-August. She too, made a long trip to make the baby shower, THANK YOU!

Carly (who, by the way, just had a baby) & Dana rubbing it in...no ice-cold summery drinks for the preggers!

Everyone brought a book for Baby Love in lieu of a card. This was one of my favorite books when I was little, Dr. Seuss "one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish"

Carlyn made this cute diaper cake for Baby Love...84 newborn diapers...how long will it take to go through those??? Sean is hiding out!

FINALLY....the men! While we "showered" things up...the guys hit the links! This group is made of up: good family friends, Dennis DeBuhr & Russ Meyer, along with my cousins Derek & Chris Heins, my Dad (aka soon-to-be Grandpa Einck), Sean, my brother Bryan, and my uncles, Joe & Steve Einck

29 down...11 to go

Today marks week 29 for us...Baby Love is about 2 1/2-3 lbs and nearing 16 inches in length. We had our first Baby Basics class on Monday evening, which was very educational for the both of us. There are 12 couples in our class, all of them know what they are having but us, and they are ALL having boys...with the exception of one couple having twins, a boy and a girl! I begin seeing my doctor every two weeks beginning Monday and we have our first baby shower this weekend! Sean, Gunner, and I are packing up today and heading to Iowa, we are SO SO excited to see our family and so many great friends. Tonight we are staying with our great friends, Scott & Rachel Steiner in Dubuque and then will head to Waukon tomorrow morning. My mom, Kate (soon to be my sista) and Carlyn are hosting a shower for us on Saturday afternoon/evening at the farm! We look forward to a fun, relaxing weekend. It seems all to weird to think that the next trip we take back to Waukon we will be packing a whole lot more and some very precious cargo, our Sweet Little One!!!!!!

Have a great weekend and I will be sure to post some pictures from the weekend!

Happy 4th of July weekend!

have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!

We wish you all a very fun filled and safe weekend! We (Sean included, he has been a big help) have spent the morning cleaning our house from top to bottom...Sean thinks it is nesting...but it has something to do with the fact that we are having company tomorrow! I have no desire to clean, cook, or do laundry...definitely NOT nesting! We are having some friends over tomorrow afternoon/evening for an afternoon of fun and an early evening BBQ! Lots of little kids, so I am going to fill up Gunner's pool for the lil ones, it should be a great time. Our good friends, the Eliuks are hosting fireworks tomorrow night, so we will enjoy fireworks right here in our neighborhood. Living so close to Indiana makes it easily accessible to get some pretty sweet fireworks!!!

Baby news...we have officially entered our 3rd trimester...time is flying! (thank goodness) I can't complain about any aspect of my pregnancy, I am just getting really anxious to meet this little kick boxer! I begin seeing my doctors every two weeks now, we will start our Baby Basics class this coming Monday, and the baby showers begin next weekend...it is FOR REAL! We feel so blessed to be experiencing this wonderful circle of life, and continue to pray for a healthy Sweet Little One and delivery! 28 week Bump picture to come...

Enjoy the weekend!
