Baby Shower #1

We had a great extended weekend back in Iowa, seeing so many great friends and our wonderful family. We have come to the conclusion that Gunner is 100% a farm dog, he seemed to find every puddle possible and was dad's sidekick 24-7 while he did chores. The drive to and from seemed like it took forever due to our Baby Love nesting up against my rib cage, or as Grandpa says, "his little papoose"! I received confirmation this morning at my doctors appointment that it is our Sweet Little Ones butt and feet that are giving my ribcage an hourly jolt! Good news...baby's head is down, let's just hope it stays that way! Everything else continues to go really well.

We had our first of three baby shower's on Saturday, hosted by my mom, Kate, and Carlyn...they did such a great job and it was SO wonderful to see so many of my family and such great friends (who made some long trips to be there). Thank you to all who made it!!! Below are some pictures of the eventful day! While the ladies, ate, socialized, and did the regular shower stuff...the men golfed and drank beer (some more than others!)

me with my mom, soon-to-be Grandma, and wonderful hostess

Carlyn, me, & Kate...my other two wonderful hostess!

Grandma Hackman, me, and Grandma Einck. I am so blessed to have both my Grandma's here to share in this special time

Carly, me, and Dana...both made longs trips to attend the shower, THANKS Girls!!! It means so much to have such GREAT girlfriends!!!

Michelle (35 weeks) and I (29 weeks) sizing up our "bumps". Michelle is due with a Sweet Baby Girl in mid-August. She too, made a long trip to make the baby shower, THANK YOU!

Carly (who, by the way, just had a baby) & Dana rubbing it in...no ice-cold summery drinks for the preggers!

Everyone brought a book for Baby Love in lieu of a card. This was one of my favorite books when I was little, Dr. Seuss "one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish"

Carlyn made this cute diaper cake for Baby Love...84 newborn diapers...how long will it take to go through those??? Sean is hiding out!

FINALLY....the men! While we "showered" things up...the guys hit the links! This group is made of up: good family friends, Dennis DeBuhr & Russ Meyer, along with my cousins Derek & Chris Heins, my Dad (aka soon-to-be Grandpa Einck), Sean, my brother Bryan, and my uncles, Joe & Steve Einck
