Happy 35th Birthday!!!

Today we celebrate Sean's birthday, to my wonderful husband and loving father!

Our morning started with Sean cooking "special birthday pancakes", orange flavored. You are probably wondering why he is cooking breakfast on his birthday??? Well, he loves to make pancakes for the family, something he greatly enjoys doing on the weekends, so he wanted to start of his birthday by cooking up some delicious pancakes!
Luke loves pancakes in the morning, and it is always a special treat to get Daddy's pancakes, rather than frozen ones warmed in the microwave!

Cake time!!!! After Luke woke from his morning nap, the three of us enjoyed Sean's birthday lunch at one of our favorite locals spots, Red's Ale House! We enjoyed a nice lunch, watched a little basketball and back to the house for birthday cake time!

It isn't a birthday at our house without a cake from a local bakery "Yummy's" and yummy it sure is!

Sean is off to spend the rest of his birthday in Dubuque with all of his college buddies! For many years they have gotten together, mostly taking a trip out to Vegas to sit in the Sports book all weekend, but now that most all have kids and busy schedules, they have reverted to getting together at a friends house in Dubuque. They play poker, watch basketball, place friendly wagers on basketball, and enjoy some cold ones! Birthdays are so special, it gives you an opportunity to reflect on the greatness of the previous year, and look forward to all the remarkable memories about to occur in the next 365 days!
