We have had quite a week in the Merrick household. Luke spiked a fever on Tuesday of 102 and it didn't subside until late Thursday. I took him for his 1st doctor appointment outside of his well checks, and it is just a virus. They said his ears looked great (AMEN!), his lungs sounded good, but his tonsils were very swollen. Poor little guy had a sore throat and bad cough. Unfortunately, we all know how it feels at night with a sore throat...so our night sleep has been slightly disrupted. The worst part of it all...Luke just wanted his Mama! He didn't want his daddy! Sean felt bad, especially because I was up with him all night long. (maybe not that bad)
He is doing much better, it has now moved to his nose so he is a bit congested. We came up to my parents last night so Sean could turkey hunt and my mom volunteered to get up with Luke so I could get some much needed rest...THANK YOU!
Even though he is sick, he is still as happy as ever during the day!
