Luke has been enjoying this gorgeous weather to the fullest while mommy & daddy are at work. Ms. Judi has gotten involved with this nanny group, which consists of 5-6 babysitters and they try to have get togethers at least 2 times a week. With the weather as nice as it has been, Luke and Ms. Judi have made it to the park twice this week for a little play date and picnic. After Luke's morning nap, he gets his bottle, they pack their lunches, and then off to the park they go! We are so thankful that Judi has gotten involved with other babysitters so Luke can have some great interaction with other kids. One of our concerns about having our babysitter come into our home was that he wasn't going to get much socialization or interaction with other little kids. This has been wonderful for him and it is also great for Ms. Judi!
Yesterday I was in a meeting in Minneapolis all day and Judi was sending me little pictures here and there of Luke playing at the park. When I called late afternoon to touch base she had to share with me that Luke was playing pretty "aggressive" at the park today. I asked her, how so? She said, well he kept taking Will's toys away from him (Will is one month older than Luke), and then he pushed one little guy over because he kept pulling on his shirt and made him cry. I am thinking "oh, no it has already started". Ms. Judi asked Luke, "do you have any regrets about what you just did?" He smiled at her and then proceeded to blow bubbles in her face! Let the fun begin!!!
Luke is a crazy man these days...all over the place! We lowered his crib because he is getting so mobile, grabbing onto things and pulling himself up, and it was just a matter of days before he pulled himself up in his crib. He makes us smile endlessly everyday!
This weekend we are heading to Waukon for Bryan and Kate's last of three wedding showers. Sean is planning to do some turkey hunting as well. I am taking Luke out to sit in the blind with him for a little bit, Sean just can't wait to introduce Luke to the sport of hunting! (Yes, I agree, a little obnoxious!)
Have a great weekend!
