Luke turns 3

Luke, we celebrated your birthday last Tuesday! Not only was it a very special day to celebrate you turning 3, but it was also your first day of preschool! (more on that later)
You were born on a Friday afternoon in 2009 and we have loved every second since 2:18pm that afternoon. When we met you, it was love at first sight, and you have continued to bring so much joy and much excitement to our lives each and everyday. We are absolutely in love with watching all your recent developments. Whether it be your communication, telling us funny stories, funny remarks, repeating us when we don't think you are paying attention, or your wild imagination. You are really starting to include Ben in more of your imaginery events, and it is so fun to watch you direct Ben on what he is to do next! Farming is your favorite, but you also love it when I tell you stories about you and Ben playing football and making the "roar" of the crowd! You absolutely love to play with every kid in our neighborhood, you truly cherish your friends! When you see them you give them big hugs, ok...and sometimes tackle them. You love to wrestle & play football with your daddy, Uncles, and Bop.
Luke, at 3 years old you weigh 38 lbs, in the 95th percentile (you were a whopping 6 lbs 4 oz when you were born!), and you measure 3 feet 3 1/3 inches, 85th percentile.
You are completely potty trained, beginning to want to pick out your own clothes, are a picky eater, and love anything sweet. We just got you to eat sandwiches because we said Bop eats them and we call them "farmer sandwiches". Your remarks are hilarious, and one day I will put themn all in a post. We love you big boy!
 Celebrating Luke's 3rd Birthday

Enjoying a birthday cake & song for breakfast on his very special day
Disclaimer: cupcakes are allowed to eat for breakfast on very special days in our house!!!!
 Luke's birthday present for Ben!
Luke is becoming quite the little football player and loves to play catch with his daddy (& uncles) any chance he can get. Uncle Mitch plays football with him every chance he gets
Opening gifts on the morning of his birthday!
I have to laugh, Luke is more obsessed with how many cupcakes he gets to eat on his birthday than opening birthday gifts. The morning of his birthday he still had 8 gifts left to open from his party the day before and we literally had to bribe him with cupcakes to open presents!

Below is a sequence of pictures as Luke received his birthday present from Ms. Judi. I just love it because lately Luke is into "surprising" people, so he will have you close your eyes then yell "surprise"! Whether it be a legitmate object he is surprising you with or something pretend! As many know, Luke is obsessed with farming and doing just as his Bop does. Every morning he will say his cows are mooing, they are hungry, put on his boots and get out his tractor to feed the cows in our front lawn. He has been wanting a pair of boots like this since wearing his friend Jacks. I love his expressions...
