Luke's smile

This little boy just melts my heart
For those of you who get the joy of dealing with deadlines, end of quarter forecasts, etc...you can understand how stressful days can get. Well, currently I am dealing with quite possibly the most stressful quarter end I have yet to experience. Fortunately for me, I have Sweet Little Luke to take my mind off work just for a few hours each night! Last night, I literally shut my phone OFF, so I wouldn't hear the constant beep from the never ending emails. (first for me!!!!) This little guy puts things into perspective and it is very hard to stress over work when I have the joy of playing with this little guy, chasing him around the house, and watching him learn new things daily is truly a blessing!

"I like to WIN"

This is the everyday scene...Luke standing by the door just waiting to go outside to play!

***Update***

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers while my Uncle heals from his massive heart attack. They were able to remove his balloon pump over the weekend and his blood pressure has remained as they hoped. They are hoping to take him off the ventilator within the next few days. Please continue to keep he and my family in your thoughts and prayers for continued positive progress, healing, and patience as the doctors perform their work.

Prayer Warriors

To all you Prayer Warriors out there, I ask for you to please keep my Uncle and our family in your thoughts and prayers. Prayers for recovery, strength, and patience for his healing. My uncle suffered a massive heart attack Wednesday morning, and was airlifted to LaCrosse, WI. He is a young loving husband, remarkable father, amazing grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. May the Lord be with him, bless him with his healing hands, and lead him to recovery. May his family be blessed with patience as the physicians do their work.

Home Sweet Home

It feels so wonderful to be back with my boys! I flew into the Quad Cities last night around 5:30 and enjoyed an evening with Sean, Luke, and our great friends Heath & Alicia Christians at their house. We watched some football, enjoyed our favorite mexican, and of course, ran after Luke! Anyone that has had the pleasure of spending numerous hours with Luke would agree that he is one busy boy! It's always nice to arrive home after a long business trip, or anytime away from home, but I can't describe just how wonderful it feels to see the smile on Luke's face as he ran to me when I walked in the door. His smile lit up the room and he kept giving me hugs, how wonderful does that sound? AMAZING!
Sean and Luke had a great few days together, they enjoyed playing outside til the street lights came on, Luke slept in until 8:00 a.m. for Sean Saturday morning, and they enjoyed some time at the park. Although it is so hard to be away from them both, it is such a special time for the two of them. They must have been working on "dada" because that's all Luke is saying!
